Demeter

Demeter was the Goddess of agriculture and fertility. She was worshipped with many festivals becasue the Greeks depended on agriculture. One of the most famous myths that she is involved in is the myth of her losing her daughter, Persephone. Also, her name sounds like "The meter", which is pretty cool.
